Manufacture & Finish

Built to Spec, Finished to Standard

Prototyping and Value Engineering

Before full-scale production begins, Rodgers Wade creates rapid prototypes to validate design intent and confirm that each fixture meets functional and aesthetic requirements. This step surfaces issues early — when they're less costly to resolve than after production is underway.

Value engineering is integrated into this phase as well, identifying opportunities to optimize materials and construction methods without compromising the final product.

Precision Machining Across Multiple Materials

Our CNC equipment cuts, shapes, and mills wood, metal, acrylics, and veneers with the precision required for complex, multi-component fixtures. The same processes support a broad range of materials — including metal, wood, glass, and acrylic — allowing for intricate designs that combine multiple finishes and substrates in a single fixture.

This flexibility supports both highly custom pieces and high-volume production runs.

Quality Control Throughout the Production Process

Rodgers Wade maintains quality through structured controls at every stage of fabrication, not just at the end. This includes:

  • Standardized operating procedures developed for each step of assembly

  • Worker training focused on proper technique and proactive issue identification

  • In-process quality checkpoints throughout the production lifecycle

  • Root cause analysis and corrective action when defects are identified

  • Comprehensive final inspection before packaging to confirm all design, aesthetic, and functional specifications are met

Custom Finishes and Surface Treatments

Rodgers Wade applies a wide range of specialized surface finishes to meet visual merchandising requirements and brand specifications. This includes custom textures, decorative coatings, and electrostatic powder coating — a technique applied to both wood and metal that uses electrostatically charged dry powder, cured under heat, to produce a wear-resistant, consistent decorative finish.

These finishing capabilities allow clients to achieve specific aesthetic effects that reinforce brand identity across every fixture in a program.
